step17: modify Vmware configuration files
      
Locate to ~/vmware/<vm_name>, edite .vmx file.
Add the following into it?

bios440.filename = “<Vmware_bios”directory”>/CISCO_IDS4215_440.BIOS.ROM”

ethernet0.virtualDev = “e1000″
ethernet1.virtualDev = “e1000″
ethernet2.virtualDev = “e1000″

Save it after editing.

step18:run Vmware, power on configured virtual host(with correct configuration, you’ll see the following display)

Then system would complete installation automatically, and the virtual host will restart. After the second restart you’ll see the following (as the fig shows):

step19:
  choose “Cisco IPS”, press e and enter into editing mode.
  Then choose “kernel”(as the fig shows)?

Press e again and edit (as the fig shows)?

Then move cursor, locate to init=loadrc?modify it as init=1(as the fig shows)?
